Assessment

Students will be assessed not only as a class but as a school also. Every student will take a pre/post test evaluating their knowledge at the beginning and end of the year. Each student is required to compose a portfolio displaying their work throughout the school year. They will then present the portfolio in a scheduled parent-teacher conference.
In March, all students will be required to take the Florida Comprehension Assessment Test (FCAT). This test will not only evaluate each student's performance but increase student achievement by implementing higher standards. Students will also meet with their teacher every 2 weeks and parent teacher conferences will take place once a quarter.
